Descriptions

The blissipline of Inner Power Yoga
I call what I teach
“the blissipline” because,
with consistent practice,
it is an opportunity to
step into the bliss of our
Inner Power and Ultimate Freedom.
This Inner Power and Ultimate Freedom is found when we quiet the chatter of our minds and open our hearts to Infinite Potential.
Inner Power Yoga is a dynamic practice combining resources of ancient yoga philosophy and modern yoga theory.
We pay special attention to the spanda, or the creative vibration of universal energy, as it manifests authentic movement in our bodies. This creative spark is stoked by the winds of our breath as it pulses from the Source of our Inner Power and illuminates our hearts.
When we listen to and move from the Source of our Inner Power,
we remember our beautiful True Nature, the power of our choices and our interconnectedness to all things.
“The blissipline” guides us back to the Source of our Inner Power.
A contemplative and dynamic asana practice designed for practitioners of all levels.

Gratitude and Grace
Your job is to radiate vibrantly with the infinite potential of your intrinsic goodness. Have you been showing up for work lately?
Gratitude is a balance of honor, humility, contentment and faith. With the stability of these four pillars, gratitude fuels our hearts and brings us into the light of Grace, where effort and surrender meet. When you "show up" to co-create your life's purpose, Divine Inspiration will bring your heart to new heights.
This is the practice of Yoga Asana: to ground ourselves in Gratitude so that we may soar with Grace.
Accompanied by the beat of sacred rhythms, let your heart take flight.
Perfect for Intermediate students. All levels welcome.

ShivaNatana~
The Blissful Dance
The Cosmic Dance of Duality rocks your body daily, even as you breathe! Why not go with the flow? Let the sacred play of spanda (vibrational pulsation) carry your body and mind into a glimpse of Universal Unity.
Intentional Dance Celebration.
Asana for All. Live percussion accompaniment, when available.

Dancing with
the Gunas
A three part workshop:
Energy is manifest through the interplay of three qualities of Nature: Rajas, Tamas, and Satva--the Gunas.
Witnessing this interplay as we participate in the dynamic dance
of the gunas, invites us to be open and clear in our lives.
We are reminded to live fully, in the radiance of our True Nature,
with the freedom of equanimity.
Rapture of Rajas: An Intentional Dance Celebration (ShivaNatana)
Tranquility of Tamas: Moving into Stillness with Inner Power Yoga
Sublimity of Satva: Yoga Nidra ~ The Infinite Power of Embodied Imagination
Perfect for Intermediate students. All levels welcome.

Yoga Nidra ~
The Infinite Power
of Embodied Imagination
Modern Psychology recognizes the efficacy of our imagination; how our thoughts directly influence our experiences; how what we envision ultimately unfolds as manifestation.
William James, who has been called the father of American psychology, said:
“There is a law in psychology that if you form a picture in your mind of what you would like to be and you hold that picture there long enough, you will soon become exactly as you have been thinking.”
Yoga has revealed this secret for more than a thousand years. Through the practice of Yoga Nidra, we set a sankalpa, or intention, with our own imagination. Then, we embody that intention in a state of deep relaxation so that it takes root in the very fibers that make up our everyday experience.
Are you ready to realize the Power of your Embodied Imagination?
You are Infinite,
and Your dreams are waiting.
This workshop will begin with an introduction to the deep relaxation experience of Yoga Nidra. Movement and discussion will prepare us for our Yoga Nidra practice, which will be followed by creative processing.
Awakening the
Divine Hero Within
This three part yoga workshop series will take you on a journey through your Chakras as you explore the threefold qualities of Divine Nature within you: Balanced Stability, Creative Radiance, and Infinite Potential. We will honor the stories of the Divine Heros of Yoga philosophy as they empower the uniquely exquisite story of your own life experience. Let’s Play!

Shiva/Kali:
Leveling the Playing Field
This asana workshop is devoted to turning inward to find stability and balance as we honor our life as it is. We will work with our Muladhara and Svadisthana Chakras to witness the story that has brought us thus far; to identify the concepts that we cling to and to recognize what is true and what is truly unnecessary.
asana emphasis: standing, balancing, and forward folding asanas

Brahma/Sarasvati:
Creating a New Beginning
The practice continues in week 2 with a fresh start. We will tap into our creative nature to explore our hearts desire. Joining in the cosmic dance of our Manipura and Anahata chakras, we will uncover the inner power inside of us to start each moment, each breath,
 radiantly anew.
asana emphasis: hip opening, heart opening, and twisting asanas

Krishna/Lakshmi:
Opening to Infinite Potential
Prepare to take your practice even deeper in week 3. With Stability and Creativity, we will enter into the play of Grace: a balance of effort and surrender that expresses itself as the Blissipline of Inner Power Yoga. It is with this Grace that we learn to fly; infinitely free!
asana emphasis: heart opening, arm balancing asanas, and inversions

All levels of asana practice are welcome.
Please bring a journal for creative processing.

“A true, rich yoga practice is not necessarily expressed in the presentation of one's most challenging asana. It is something you can see in the face of a yogini. It is in her eyes, in the way she views the world. It is evidenced in the way she shines light towards other beings!”
~ r.r. Shakti

LOVE...

Thank you for such rejuvenating, gracious and sincere, inspired teaching!
~ Irene Joyce, Santa Fe NM.

Rachel was the teacher who gave me my very first yoga class. Her blend of spirituality, non-judgement and open hearted fun opened the door to what has become a nine year journey on the mat. Whether you are just getting started or are looking to deepen your practice, I am sure you will find inspiration in her teaching that will keep you coming back for more, just like I have!

“Thank you so much for the opportunity to connect with my true nature through your training. It has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life and I know I will continue to draw from it.  It is hard for me to express in words what a profound effect those 6 weeks had on my life.  I look forward to growing as a teacher, individual, and student of yours.”
~ Amanda Anderson, Lincoln NE.

“Micro movements” – that is the secret I learned about in Shakti’s workshop. I’ve taken Yoga classes with a local teacher for a couple of years now, and sometimes feel I am “stuck”. With Shakti’s help I discovered how I can advance in the postures without having to become flexible or having to lose weight first. At the end of the session I felt exhausted and exhilarated at the same time – what a wonderful feeling! Shakti is a patient, fun, and energetic teacher.
I can’t wait for the next workshop! Namaste!
~ Miriam L. Indianapolis, IN.

“I took a class of yours in Colorado..... it was fantastic! You are a very talented yoga teacher.”
~ Jim Gerakaris, NY, NY.

“...thank you for my re-introduction to yoga. I was not stiff or suffering from the previously mentioned incapacitating back ache. On the contrary, I felt energized and much more fit than after any fitness regime involving weights, treadmills...etc...”
~ James Ingalstad, Atlanta GA

“Your class was amazing and I can see it will change my practice greatly.”
~ Linda Pecone, Boulder CO.
