Camp Yoga Rocks children will be exposed and introduced to a variety of mindfulness activities and classes lead by top teachers in their respective fields. Children will participate in art with Linda Wallace learning how to make peace books,, meditation with nationally-known childrens author, Kerry McClean, Youth Hatha Yoga with Akal Weiting, Storytime Yoga with Sydney Solis, go on a music voyage with Sally Bonkrude, explore mindfulness in nature with Lisa Dion, make a movement orchestra with Brie Anderson, play environmental leadership games with Betty Ann Woodland, and more
Different classes will be offered each day, so that a child participating in the camp on both days will have a new experience each time. The childrens program wraps up on Sunday when the kids re-group with their parents for a festival-wide drum circle with John Crowder of Peak Rhythms.
Each child will participate in a group of 10 children of similar age and will be guided through the day's experiences by their camp counselor, who will stay with them in all of their activities.
Children must be potty trained to participate in Camp Yoga Rocks. Parents are responsible for feeding their children before the camp begins and during the lunch break. Food will not be provided at the camp.
Children are encouraged to bring a towel and water for their yoga experiences.
